Shatter resistant window film makes glass in vulnerable places safe and secure. If the glass does break, the safety film ensures that broken pieces of glass stay in place. (This of cause is dependant on the level of trauma to the glass)
Regulation 14 (of the Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations, 1992) stipulates that glass should be either reinforced or laminated, especially where the public sector is concerned.
